FBI Safe Streets Task Force Armed Bank Robbery Arrest

Keith L. Lourdeau, Special Agent in Charge of the Indianapolis Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Chief Michael Spears of the Indianapolis Police Department, and Sheriff Frank Anderson of the Marion County Sheriff's Department, jointly announced today the arrest of Rodney M. Harper, age 30, by Agents of the FBI and Officers assigned to the FBI Safe Streets Task Force.

At approximately 11:00 a.m., today, Harper was arrested at a residence located in the vicinity of 30th Street and Arsenal Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana, without incident.

Based upon a Criminal Complaint, Harper is charged with one count of armed bank robbery, a violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2113(a)(d) and one count possession of a weapon in the commission of a violent crime, a violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 924(c). If convicted, he faces a minimum of 25 years in prison.
