EVANSVILLE CRACK DEALERS SENTENCEDTimothy M. Morrison, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana, announced that DAVID NEIGHBORS, 27, Evansville, Indiana, and LAFREDERICK TAYLOR, 32, Evansville, Indiana were sentenced yesterday to life imprisonment and 240 month respectively by U.S. District Judge Richard L. Young following their conviction at trial for conspiracy to distribute cocaine base and related offenses. This case was the result of a five month investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, and the Evansville Police Department. NEIGHBORS was the
leader of a crack cocaine trafficking organization that distributed approximately
4 kilograms of crack cocaine from May 2007 through August 29, 2007. According to Assistant
U.S. Attorney Bradley A. Blackington, who prosecuted the case for the
government, Judge Young also imposed ten years supervised release following
TAYLOR's release from imprisonment. During the period of supervised release,
TAYLOR will be subjected to random urinalysis and random searches of his
person, vehicle, and residence.
