HEBRON RESIDENT SENTENCED IN CHILD PORNAGRAPHY CASE
Hammond, IN—The United States Attorney’s Office today announced that Gilbert Allday, 64, of Hebron, Indiana, was sentenced in U.S. District Court to a term of 97 months’ imprisonment following his conviction for possession of child pornography. Judge Rudy Lozano also imposed three years’ supervised release following Allday’s prison term. Allday was indicted by a federal grand jury in November, 2006 for violating federal law which makes it illegal to possess child pornography. FBI Agents recovered 541 single images and 82 movie files which depicted child pornography, all of which were downloaded from an internet website to Allday’s personal computer. These images and movie files showed images of children being molested, some of whom appear to be as young as five years of age. The case was investigated by Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Bernard Van Wormer.
