PRESS RELEASEBLOOMINGTON MAN CHARGED WITH ARMED ROBBERY Timothy M. Morrison, Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana, announced that ANTHONY HARRELL, JR., 24, Bloomington, Indiana, was charged with armed bank robbery, following an investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The information alleges that on September 19, 2007, HARRELL used a dangerous and deadly weapon to rob the SkyBank branch located at 91 st and Meridian, Indianapolis. HARRELL was successful at obtaining in excess of $6300 from the bank employees. According to Assistant U. S. Attorney Gayle L. Helart, who is prosecuting the case for the government, HARRELL, faces a maximum possible prison sentence of 25 years and a maximum possible fine of $250,000. An initial hearing will be scheduled before a U.S. Magistrate Judge in Indianapolis. The information is an allegation only, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at trial or by guilty plea.
