COCAINE TRAFFICKER SENTENCED
PRESS RELEASE
Susan W. Brooks, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana, announced that MARIA DELVILLA, 38, Indianapolis, Indiana, was sentenced to 135 months imprisonment today by U.S. District Judge Larry J. McKinney following her guilty plea to conspiracy to distribute cocaine. This case was the result of a four month investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Metro Drug Task Force, Beech Grove Police Department, Indianapolis Police Department, and Marion County Sheriff’ s Department..
The investigation revealed that DELVILLA distributed approximately 170 kilograms of cocaine in Indianapolis from April, 2004 through May, 2005.
According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Bradley A. Blackington, who prosecuted the case
for the government, Judge McKinney also imposed 5 years supervised release following
DELVILLA’s release from imprisonment. DELVILLA will be subject to deportation following the completion of her prison sentence and, during the period of her supervised release, must refrain from re-entering the United States.
